Access Statement for the Farm House

mylove-call-us-2

The farmhouse was built in the 17th C and therefore is rambling with many steps, corridors and lobbies adding to the character and charm of the building.

The main entrance is via the back door which is level with the large car parking area.

Through the utility room and past the downstairs shower room and along a corridor past the children's TV room/4th bedroom. – all on the same level.

After which there are 4 steps with a left handrail to a lobby and then either left down 2 steps to the main corridor or right up a flight of 6 stairs to half landing.

Along the main corridor towards the front door is one small step up into the drawing room and two steps down on the left into the dining room. The kitchen leads off from the dining room on the same level.

Access to the south facing patio is level from the front door and drawing room French windows. The walled front lawn is on a imperceptible gentle slope.

From the half landing on the stairs are another 6 steps to the landing at the top with level access to one bedroom off to the right and two steps up to the triple single bedroom.

One small step leads down to another lobby with the family bathroom on the same level from here and two further steps down to the master bedroom with handrail provided.

There is a Victorian stair-gate at the bottom of the stairs.

The farmhouse reflects the nature of its age and the fact that over the centuries it has been extended and altered by generations of farmers.
