Things to do - Family Days Out

Monkey World – Spend a day going wild with over 230 rescued and endangered apes and monkey’s. Climb to the top of the viewing tower to see chimpanzees, orang-utans and gibbons monkeying around.

Seaton Tramway – Discover Devon’s wildlife whilst gliding through the beautiful countryside on one of 14 trams. Ending your journey at Seaton you can then spend the afternoon sunning yourself at the beach.

Wookey Hole – Explore the caves of Wookey Hole but watch out for the Witch of the cave turned to stone many years ago. Deep underground this is an ideal attraction come rain or shine.

Abbotsbury Swannery – The only place in the world where you can wander amongst a colony of nesting Mute Swans. Once you’ve visited the Swans the Subtropical Gardens and Children’s Farm are just a stones throw away.

Free Entry... Ferne Animal Sanctuary strives to provide care and refuge for unwanted domestic and farm animals. The Sanctuary rehomes dogs and cats within a 30 mile radius of Ferne. Some horses and ponies are available for permanent loan; all other animals remain at the Sanctuary for the rest of their lives. The Sanctuary relies entirely on donations and legacies to continue its work. |
