Recently, BBC Natural History has been filming a one-hour special with Sir David Attenborough. The Special BBC feature covers the recent discovery in Charmouth of a Giant Sea Dragon. The film is understood to be screened next year and tells how the discovery was made when a block of limestone fell onto the beach following the winter storms in January and how a local fossil expert noticed the block contained a creature with two flippers.

Lyme Regis Steeped in 13C History
Nearly everyone that stays with us goes for a stroll along the Lyme Regis promenade. This promenade leads you to the magnificent 13C Cobb. The Cobb was made famous when it featured heavily in the production of a dramatic film called ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’. It starred such actors as Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons. When you walk along the Cobb you can really feel the history of a bygone era.
While you are in Lyme Regis why not enjoy its sandy beach. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. They say, happy kids, happy parents! Some would say… Happy kids, happy everyone!
