Monkton Wyld Holiday Park offers idyllic camping and caravanning in West Dorset. We are three miles from the coastal village of Charmouth and the historic harbour town of Lyme Regis, the centre of the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline.
The holiday park has 25 acres of beautifully landscaped and carefully maintained grounds within West Dorset’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The park has been carefully planted with native woodland to divide the grounds into several separate small paddocks which provide an atmosphere of peace and quiet.
We love to see your pets! We understand their importance to you and your family. With two large dog walking areas, there is lots of room for exercise.
Food Vans: We currently have three different food vans visiting weekly, offering fish and chips, wood-fired pizzas and burgers.

Recent Enhancements to our Park for an Elevated Stay
Super Fast Wifi
We are pleased to announce a significant investment in a new, comprehensive, high speed wifi system.
During the winter of 2022/23 we embarked on the extensive task of trenching across all areas of the park, installing thousands of metres of below ground multi-core fibre optic cables to new wifi masts.
We can now provide high speed internet to all areas of the park. This has been in conjunction with the installation of a new private fibre supply; each mast is directly linked by fibre to the main incoming router, guaranteeing rock solid, high speed connectivity.
This work will help to ensure that our guests can enjoy high speed, uninterrupted wifi during their stay.
New super pitches
For those who are familiar with our old camping field, (known as Challenge Field), we are pleased to announce the completion of a beautifully landscaped development consisting of forty two fully serviced pitches.
Each pitch has its own 16 amp hook-up, fresh water supply and grey water drain.
If you have ever stayed on a fully serviced pitch before, you will know just how convenient this is.
There is a new shower block facility specially for Challenge guests which will be ready for the start of the 2024 season.

Additional Secure Storage
We are pleased to announce the opening of a new, 80 unit, caravan storage compound. The compound is built at the rear of the park and incorporates high security fencing, alarms and is monitored by security cameras.
As with our existing storage facility, your storage fee includes tow in and out to pitch by our professional ground staff.
Why haul your lovely caravan along busy roads when you can store with us and find it parked on pitch when you arrive for your stay.

Want a tent pitch you can use any time ?
We have designed pitches for tents to provide a cleaner footprint in all weathers.
What is the surface made of ? The surface consists of small, soft, flat Cotswold stones (which will not damage groundsheets) this eliminates the problem of a muddy grass pitch.
Can I peg the tent down easily ? There is a free-draining chalk base that allows for easy pegging, although it is advisable to use rock pegs.
